The good news is that we have been accepted to perform in Montreal, London, Calgary, Winnipeg, North Hampton, Boulder, Arcata, and San Francisco. Awesome!

The bad news is that we have to raise an estimated $12,500 to make it all the way across the continent and back again.

The good news is we have already raised $10,000 through our work performing for companies such as Dream Works, Standford Hospital, and Pac-Man. We have also been street performing, teaching circus, and selling our organs.

The bad news is that we are out of extra organs.

This is where you come in. Yes, your extra organs would be great, but if you could just send cash that would be easier for us (and you).

You may say, “Well that’s all good but I don’t want to give my money to fools.”

When started Pi: The Physical Comedy Troupe almost 8 years ago it was a simple exploration of wonder. The concept of approaching every day life with child-like curiosity inspired a wealth of laughter, but not money…We have come a long way since then. Our dream is to be able to support ourselves with our work. Through networking, exposure, and experience this trip will be a huge step in helping us realize this dream. SO DONATE!

Incredible acrobatics, high speed horse races, and duels to the [overly dramatic] death await you in this fast paced circus and comedy explosion. So saddle up and trot on down for some side splitting comedy by the award winning Pi Clowns.

Summer Tour

Last year Pi drove across the country in a [very small] car with a steamer trunk, 19 juggling clubs, and a one eyed cat. They performed for sold out audiences from Great Barrington, Massachusetts to Arcata, California and lots of corn fields in-between. This year they are taking the tour to Canada. The little car will pull into London, Montreal, Piggery, Winnipeg, and Calgary before heading back into the states to perform at Boulder, Arcata, and San Francisco.

Why is it that no matter where you go people have the same behavior. There are subtle differences based on culture and social standards, but on the whole human behavior doesn’t change. A smile is still a smile, laughter still has the same meaning, and physical attraction never changes. How can a clown use this to communicate all over the world. Every culture has some sort of fool, so is it possible to find a behavioral expose that communicates foolishness throughout the world?

around the world, the Picklewater Clown Cabaret filled with brand new material from some of the bay areas favorite
physical comedians.

About the Prescott Circus

Each year, over 170 children work with professional artists to develop physical circus skills such as juggling, acrobatics, improvisation, balancing, unicycling, stilting, hip hop dance, hambone body percussion, and clowning. An emphasis on cultural connections within the program’s curriculum and structure is valued and included. Students also learn about performance art, including creative expression, stage presence, production, and theatre vocabulary.

Training programs are offered free of charge and almost exclusively to low income children. This program is supported by grants, donations, and performance fees. The Oakland Unified School District provides in-kind support.
